Dear Friends,
I am so excited that our campaign received the most votes in the May primary for Lincoln County Commissioner, Seat 1! As the race to the November 3 general election begins, I want to pause and express my heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has supported, encouraged, and stood with me on this journey. Thank you for helping get us to this moment.
THANK YOU to the volunteers across Lincoln County who knocked on hundreds of doors, made phone calls, and handed out literature about my campaign.
THANK YOU to Primaltones, Kathy Redwine, Alex Llumiquinga, and Hard Feelings (Dixon Wilson, Julian Elizalde, Cameron Locklear) for making our community concert and celebration a huge success — as well as everyone who attended that night.
THANK YOU to Steven Hickman, CM Hall, Talaina King, Alex Llumiquinga, Angel Aparicio-Reyes, Franki Trujillo-Dalbey, Melissa Bird, Andrew Keating, Oscar Juarez, and Jim King for endorsing my candidacy this spring.
THANK YOU to the Color PAC, Oregon Futures Lab, and the Cascades to Coast Central Labor Chapter of the Oregon Labor Federation (AFL-CIO) for your endorsements and other invaluable support these last few months.
THANK YOU to Debbie Kozar Duus and the May & Done PAC for the countless resources that went into organizing meet-the-candidate events and rallies throughout the county.
THANK YOU to the dozens of supporters who stood on corners holding Elect Cathie Rigby or Vote Blue signs. Thank you to those who stood up for me on social media. Thank you for the texts, emails, and personal messages of support and encouragement. All of it was noticed and appreciated. I would not have been able to keep smiling and moving forward were it not for all of you. Thank you for your meaningful contributions. They made all the difference.
And THANK YOU to the people of Lincoln County who recognize that it’s time for a change and voted for me to be that change in 2027. I am honored and humbled by your support, and I do not take lightly the responsibility that comes with it.
Now we shift our focus to a bigger challenge: Winning in November!
This won’t be easy. I’m very proud that we ran a primary campaign that stayed focused on positivity and the issues that matter most to Lincoln County!
Now is not the time to rest on our accomplishments. Now is the time to build on our momentum. We know we’ll need to work harder than our opponent to win this seat, and we’re ready for that challenge. We’re planning several community events, including more concerts and community parties. We’re earning new endorsements. We’re ordering more yard signs, t-shirts, buttons, and other materials. We’re knocking on more doors and making more phone calls.
This campaign is powered by people. I need your help to bring this campaign across the finish line, and every contribution, no matter the size, helps us reach more voters and move one step closer to victory.
Lincoln County is ready for the change we can bring. Let’s build tomorrow together!
With gratitude,
Cathie Rigby
